Class D Security License Training Course

In the State of Florida, any individual who performs the services of a security officer must have a Class D security license.  In order to obtain the license, you are required to undertake a 42-hour training course provided by a security officer training school.  All training schools must be licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing.  Royal Protection & Security is licensed as a security officer training school (license number DS3200003).

Requirements

• Over 18 years of age

• No disqualifying criminal history

• Must be legally allowed to work in the US

Time

• 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday to Thursday

All Candidates will be required to be on time for ALL classes.  Class will start at 8:30am. No Candidate will be allowed to enter the class for that day, after 8:40am.  If a candidate misses a day for any reason, the candidate will be given an opportunity to make up the day that was missed during the following week.

Course

• 42-hour program, over 4 consecutive days, covering all topics required to obtain a class D security license, including: -

  • Florida State Statutes Section 493​

  • Legal issues and liabilities

  • Ethics and professional conduct

  • Report writing and interviewing

  • Terrorism awareness

• Assistance with completion of security license application - upon signing up for the class and making payment, our staff will make an appointment for you to get your blue card from the Department of Licensing.

• Training days may be broken up to accommodate your schedule.

• Candidates will graduate and be given their course completion certificates on the completion of their 4th Day (Part 4) of the training course.

Refund Policy: any cancellation of the class 48 hours prior to the start of the class will be refunded at 100%. Cancellations made less than 48 hours to the start of the class will incur a $50 cancellation fee, and the remaining balance of $90 will be refunded. All refunds will be refunded back in the name and manner by which the funds were paid. If the candidate fails to attend the class, after signing up and paying for the class, NO refund will be allowed.  

 

Walk In Policy: walk-in's will be accepted on any day at the start of the class, but the candidate will need to pay the full amount of the class at the start, and there will be NO opportunity for a refund.
